New daily deal site to specialize in plastic surgery

If you’re looking for a group buying website offering deals that change more than the brightness of your smile or colour of your nails, a new website might be able to help you out.

SociallySexyDeals.com is launching with a focus on cosmetic surgery, apparently offering specials on everything from breast implants to liposuction.

So if your wallet is a little too thin to pay to get slim, this site may be of interest.

When they launch March 1, users will be able to buy a deal claiming 25 per cent off breast augmentation, among other specials.

SociallySexyDeals.com will only offer one Canadian city at launch – Toronto – with plans to expand to Miami, New York and L.A. later this year.

But just because someone has a 30-day voucher to go under the knife doesn’t mean they’ll wind up on the operating table.

A spokesperson from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario told CTVNews that doctors will have to assess patients for eligibility.

For example, some might have underlying health problems which could prevent them from undergoing a procedure.

It’s just the latest deal service, however, to offer odd specials in a market dominated by cupcake and manicure promotions.

Just a few months ago, a U.S. university offered discounted tuition on Groupon.

Would you buy a voucher for plastic surgery from a group deal website?
