Nissan creates self-healing phone case
What makes this new case so special is that it can automatically heal its own scratches and scuffs thanks to special high-tech paint.
But this is the first itme it’s being used on something like an iPhone case, which in this case is made from ABS plastic which is reportedly flexible and gel-like in appearance.
So when a scratch happens, the polyrotxane paint’s chemical structure changes to fill in the gap once left by the scratch.
Only a lucky few will be able to get their hands on these iPhone cases. According to The Next Web, some journalists and customers were given some for beta testing.
If, however, demand proves strong, expect to be able to buy one of these cases later this year.
